Took a taxi into downtown Ensenada and headed for the fish market. A bit small for being a major port.
Ensenada is a cruise ship port. All of the streets near the port are lined with shops selling tourist schlock.
We had two destinations in mind for the day. The first was Tacos Lily. We found it in an article on the 10 best restaurants in Baja. Lily makes fish tacos. They’re good but not earth shattering.
Our second destination was Hussong’s Bar – where the Margarita was invented. On our way to Hussong’s we passed bars packed with tourists, presumably from the cruise ship. When we entered the bar we tripled the occupancy. Perhaps the refinished floor that smelled of gasoline had something to do with that?
